Our increasingly busy lifestyles coupled with advancements in technology have made virtual healthcare a safe and convenient alternative to traditional "in office" appointments. At the client's convenience, a consultation can be held with the herbalist by means of video chat, phone call or email. During this consultation the herbalist will analyze based on photos of the eyes and tongue provided by the client (iridology and tongue diagnosis) as well as from information gathered by the answers to questions regarding lifestyle, nutritional habits and health concerns.
What is Iridology?

As the saying goes, “The eye is the window to the soul” but surprisingly it is also a mirror image of your health.
An ancient technique practiced widely in Europe, iridology is an incredibly valuable and non-invasive discovery tool that interprets the efficacy of each system and organ through the colourings and markings found on the magnified iris. Using a map of the eye, the herbalist can determine your genetic predisposition to deficiencies and disease, pinpoint probable causes of symptoms you’re experiencing, and even alert you to health issues long before symptoms appear. There are many different treatment approaches but the most important is to make nutritional recommendations to bring the body back to balance. Many deficiency and toxicity issues can be addressed with dietary changes and supplementation with vitamins, minerals and herbs. |

What Is TCM Tongue Diagnosis?

Traditional Chinese Tongue Diagnosis requires visual inspection of the tongue (vitality, color, shape, moisture, and movement) and assessment of the tongue coating (color, thickness, distribution, and root characteristics). In Chinese theory of medicine the tongue is thought to provide a map of the organ systems. Characteristics of the tongue in each region provide information critical to a deeper understanding of overall health.
